Geldrops Stride

Geldrops Stride, a white and black dog born on 18th of December 2004 out of the combination "Standard Scratch x Pineapple Vera".

He is the first dog breed on the european continent to run and win at the home of the English Derby - the track in Wimbledon/London.

He run against top UK and IE breed dogs including the one and only English-Derby hero "Westmead Hawk".

Badly bumped in a qualifying trial before racing on Friday, 18th of April, he finished lame and is now back in Germany.
Checked by our vet in Bremen, x-rayed his frontlegs, it was found that he partly broke his right leg "Ulna" near the wrist.

After more than one year treatment, patience and love Eddie is back on the track.
He run 6 races so far this year and finished 2nd twice, 3rd 3 times and one race he finished fifth.
We are very happy with him and looking forward to the next year when he will start as a veteran.

Eddie is back - first race as a veteran he finished runner up at the CGRC Continental Classics
in Landskrona/SE. Next target will be the CGRC European Championship in August at Simrishamn/SE.

We are back from Sweden and Eddie did two very good races.
On August 11th he finish runner up for the 310m veterans semifinal and qualified for the final.
The CGRC European Championship Final for veterans was run on August 14th and he finished 3rd.
After a good start he leads at the 1st bend, but he is a widerunner,
so two dogs passed him on the inside and he couldnt close the gap. He was only beaten by 11/2 and 3/4 of a length.
We are proud on him as he was the second oldest dog in that final.

Due to a torn muscle fibre he unfortunately cannot take part at the
CGRC European Veteran Derby in Rabapatona/HU
